Kroger announces Executive Leadership Team with focus on Restock Kroger plan

Fred Morganthall, Kroger’s evp of retail operations, will retire after 31 years of service with the organization, effective November 30, 2017. Mike Donnelly, who is Kroger’s current evp of merchandising, will assume responsibility for both operations and merchandising as evp and COO, effective Nov. 1.

Kroger’s key lines of business will continue to be led by three executive vice presidents who are driving the execution of the company’s recently announced Restock Kroger Plan: Mike Donnelly, Mike Schlotman who serves as evp and CFO, and Chris Hjelm, who serves as evp and CIO.

“Kroger is fortunate to have a leadership team that combines deep experience with creative new talent as we strategically reposition the company through our Restock Kroger Plan,” said Rodney McMullen, Kroger’s chairman and CEO.
