PorkRinds.com Celebrates Notre Dame’s Pat Coogan, an Unsung Hero of College Football, with the “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” Award

PorkRinds.com, the nation’s premiere “hub” for pork rind lovers everywhere, has announced the Week 7 winner of its 2nd annual “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” campaign. Taking home the honor this week is Senior Pat Coogan, offensive lineman for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Coogan, a former Joe Moore Award Semifinalist, had big Crunch Time plays that propelled the Fighting Irish offense to 49 points, their second-highest scoring outing this season. In their matchup against the ACC’s Stanford University Cardinals, Coogan’s protection supported Notre Dame’s 477 yards of total offense.

The “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” Award highlights outstanding plays by college football players during the regular season. Each week, a college football player who has a phenomenal play or a significant tackle during the 13-week regular season will be eligible for the “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” award.
