PorkRinds.com Celebrates Penn State’s Luke Reynolds, an Unsung Hero of College Football, with the “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” Award

PorkRinds.com, the nation’s premiere “hub” for pork rind lovers everywhere, has announced the Week 13 winner of its 2nd annual “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” campaign. The final “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” this season is freshman Luke Reynolds, tight end for the Penn State University Nittany Lions.

Reynolds’ “Crunch Time” play came in the form of a fake punt-turned 32-yard run resulting in a first down. This late-game play led to a Nittany Lions win against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The freshman from Westford, MA played a major role in Penn State’s decisive victory against a key Big Ten foe.

As the college football regular season comes to a close, thirteen standout players from various teams have earned the prestigious “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” award. These athletes have been recognized for their Crunch Time plays and exceptional performances. The following players have been honored this season:

• Week 1:Dylan Stewart, freshman defensive end, University of South Carolina
• Week 2: CJ Fite, sophomore defensive lineman, Arizona State University
• Week 3: Bradyn Swinson, senior defensive end, Louisiana State University
• Week 4: Brandon Crossley, senior safety, Southern Methodist University
• Week 5: Zabien Brown, freshman defensive back, University of Alabama
• Week 6: Randon Fontenette, sophomore linebacker, Vanderbilt University
• Week 7: Pat Coogan, senior offensive lineman, University of Notre Dame
• Week 8: Will Brooks, senior defensive back, University of Tennessee
• Week 9: Jahfari Harvey, senior defensive end, Southern Methodist University
• Week 10: CJ Allen, sophomore linebacker, University of Georgia
• Week 11: Zion Young, junior defensive end, University of Missouri
• Week 12: Matayo Uiagalelei, sophomore outside linebacker, University of Oregon
• Week 13: Luke Reynolds, freshman tight end, Penn State University

The “Crunch Time Hero of the Week” Award highlights outstanding plays by college football players during the regular season and the weekly winners will be eligible for the “Crunch Time Hero of the Year” award.

Starting in December, fans can vote for their favorite player to become the “Crunch Time Hero of the Year” on PorkRinds.com.The campaign runs through Nov. 30 fans can cast their vote for “Crunch Time Hero of the Year” on PorkRinds.com starting in December.
