H-E-B opens Prosper store to serve communities in Collin and Denton counties

H-E-B officially opened its H-E-B Prosper store in Collin County. The 133,000-square-foot H-E-B Prosper joins eight other H-E-B stores and two Joe V’s Smart Shop locations the retailer has opened in the DFW Metroplex since 2022.

The new store is at 2145 W Frontier Pkwy., which is located at the corner of Frontier Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway in Prosper, a city north of Dallas. The store is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“We’re excited our Prosper store will allow us to serve even more Texans in the DFW area,” said Juan-Carlos Rück, H-E-B Executive Vice President North West Food/Drug. “We are committed to support this community with an incredible shopping experience, friendly customer service and the best H-E-B has to offer.”

Continuing its expansion in the DFW area, H-E-B introduces this community to a shopping destination with a commitment to deliver unsurpassed freshness and quality at H-E-B’s everyday low prices. Filled with exciting amenities and innovations that H-E-B is known for, the Prosper store has distinctive features such as a two-story True Texas BBQ restaurant with drive-thru; full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with drive-up spaces; and H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery services with a large Curbside parking area; and a fuel station with carwash.

Inside and out, the new store reflects the unique character of the Prosper community. The store design, which has a modern prairie style, also emphasizes environmental sustainability, incorporating several energy efficient inclusions such as CO2 refrigeration units and LED lighting.

H-E-B’s Prosper store employs 570 Partners (employees), most who are from the local area. H-E-B is the largest privately held employer in Texas and is regularly recognized as a top employer and is among the best retailers in the nation. Job opportunities can be found at H-E-B Careers.

Through its Spirit of Giving philosophy, H-E-B is dedicated to its customers beyond its stores. H-E-B commemorated the store’s grand opening with donations totaling $30,000 to local nonprofits. Three gifts of $10,000 each supported 3FTL, which provides mental health treatment to support first responders, Tuman Breast Cancer Foundation and Collin County Animal Services.

In the DFW area, H-E-B has opened H-E-B stores in Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Allen, Alliance, Mansfield and Melissa. H-E-B also has officially announced plans for stores in Rockwall, Irving, Murphy, Mid-Cities, Forney and Denton. Earlier this year, the retailer also purchased land in Dallas at Hillcrest Road and LBJ Freeway, a site being considered for the company’s first H-E-B store in the city of Dallas.

As a multi-format retailer, H-E-B operates Joe V’s Smart Shop and Central Market stores throughout Texas, as well as Mi Tienda store formats in Houston. H-E-B also owns Favor Delivery, a fast and convenient delivery service that serves cities across the state.
