Costco Launches Digital Membership Cards

Costco recently announced members can now access a Digital Membership Card via the retailer’s mobile-app after creating an account on Costco’s website. If users have not previously verified their membership online, the app will prompt users to verify their account. After successfully verifying, the Digital Membership Card will appear on the screen, allowing club members to enter the warehouse and checkout at the register via the mobile-app. 

According to the retailer’s website, the Digital Membership Card also works for returns, pharmacy drop-offs and pickups, hearing aid, photo, optical and tire center services. While, the digital card is not accepted at Costco Gas Stations, the app allows consumers to renew their memberships and view their 2 percent reward balance.
