Asian Oatmeal Yishi Foods Launches Nationwide in Whole Foods Market
Yishi Foods, a Chicago-based maker of Asian inspired oatmeals announced that it has expanded distribution into Whole Foods’ U.S. locations, totaling more than 500 stores. Founded in 2019 by Chinese immigrant Lin Jiang, Yishi is inspired by her mother’s own breakfast porridge. After moving to the United States and noticing a lack of oatmeal options, Jiang began making her own oatmeal breakfasts inspired by her mother’s recipes with the intention of bringing Asian flavors to the American breakfast sector.
“More than ever, shoppers are increasingly demanding breakfast cereals in innovative and delicious flavors that provide a multitude of functional benefits,” said Jiang, CEO and Founder of Yishi Foods. “We’re thrilled to expand the availability of our nourishing products to Whole Foods Market across the country, continuing to capitalize on our phenomenal growth momentum and market traction. We’ll continue satisfying our loyal fans with second-to-none delicacies.”
Made with culturally relevant flavors and zero added sugars, Yishi’s oatmeal is perfect as an on-the-go breakfast or snack and they’re easy to prepare. They can be mixed with hot water, refrigerated for overnight oats or simply microwaved and all five flavors are USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten Free and Vegan.
Three flavors are available at local retailers:
Taro Bubble Tea- A blend of taro, black tea, blueberry and chia replicates the taste of the trendy drink.
Matcha Latte- Just like the café drink, the oatmeal is made with matcha, flaxseed and dairy-free coconut milk.
Toasted Black Sesame- The original flavor combines nutty and hearty toasted black sesame with chia seeds, walnuts and flax seed.
