Consumers can choose between recipes specifically crafted for a guilt-free eating experience. Orders can start being placed as soon as Aug. 19 through Blue Apron’s website and mobile app.
“We know a growing number of customers are interested in plant-based proteins, whether as an alternative to meat, a desire to explore a new ingredient, or an opportunity to make more sustainable food choices,” explained CEO, Linda Kozlowski.
The first recipes consumers can expect to see are 4-ounce plant-based patties containing no GMOs, soy or gluten. These patties come with a number of other ingredients: Caramelized Onion & Cheddar Beyond Burgers with Garlic Green Beans and Jalapeno & Goat Cheese Beyond Burgers with Corn on the Cobb.
The Beyond Meat burger is said to deliver a delicious taste, texture and juiciness that comes with a beef burger. Blue Apron will continue to feature and partner with Beyond Meat products in future menus as part of their mission to ensure a diverse selection of ingredients, flavors and cuisines for all consumers.
