Bob Evans CEO Resigns
Bob Evans Farms CEO and board member, Steve Davis, is stepping down from his post, after nearly a decade with the company.
The agreement was mutual between Bob Evans Farms’ Board of Directors and Davis, according to media reports. The decision to replace Davis occurred while the company is focusing on improving its performance.
Company officials are seeking a permanent replacement. In the meantime, officials appointed Mark Hood, Bob Evans Farms’ current CFO, and Mike Townsley, president of the Bob Evans Foods Division, to the interim Office of the CEO, effective immediately. Davis will stay with the company until the end of the year.
Bob Evans Farms has been working to improve its productivity and cost controls with help from advisory firms. Earlier this month, company officials said they hired Lazard to review Bob Evans Farms’ strategic and financial plans.
