Caribbrew Introduces Haitian Coffee and Cocoa

Caribbrew is a social impact company that is women-founded and black-owned and bringing Haitian coffee and cocoa to the masses.

Haitian coffee has its roots dating back to the 18th century. Coffee and cocoa production continue to be some of the primary exports for the Haitian economy and fair trade practices have stimulated the interest in harvesting from this region of the world.

Launched in 2018, Caribbrew is the brainchild of Beverly Malbranche. Growing up in Haiti, she felt compelled to give back to the Haitian economy after moving to the US as an international student. Knowing that Haitian coffee used to be well renowned in the 1960s and inspired by her uncle who is a coffee connoisseur, she decided to embark on a journey to revive Haiti’s coffee industry. Currently, Caribbrew partners with more than 1,000 coffee and cocoa farmers in Haiti to create economic opportunities. The company hires young people in the capital of Haiti to package and export the coffee to the US shipping facility in New Jersey, where they hire local residents. Malbranche is proud to offer job opportunities to NJ women. Their shipping facility is currently 75 percent female employed. In line with their mission, Caribbrew also supports a local NJ non-profit that aims to educate disadvantaged black boys in Newark.

Coffee connoisseurs know the difference in the taste. Now, they can enjoy both the richness in the coffee and the cocoa plus take advantage of the benefits of their coffee-based skincare products as well.

All Caribbrew products are cruelty-free, vegan and handmade with the best ingredients.
