Duxbury Saltworks’ Sea Salt Available at Big Y Stores in Northeast

Duxbury Saltworks has announced that its premium, hand-crafted, culinary sea salt is now available at all 70 Big Y stores in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

One of the few sea salts that is made in the USA, this 100 percent pure, fluffy, flaky sea salt from the pristine waters of Duxbury Bay in Massachusetts adds a vibrant, fresh flavor to everyday cooking, plus a boost of nourishing minerals and micronutrients.

The idea for Duxbury Saltworks came to Lily Dupont Leedom in the summer of 2018 while she was at her local beach. The salt water and salt air launched her on a quest to make sea salt from the waters in her own backyard.

“I’m so thrilled that what began as an experiment in my own kitchen has evolved into a flourishing company that widely distributes our product and ships to all 50 states,” said Leedom, founder and CEO of Duxbury Saltworks. “Now that we have expanded into Big Y, many more home chefs have the opportunity to experience our small-batch, USA-made sea salt to use in their recipes every day.”

Duxbury Saltworks Classic Sea Salt is made by slow-simmering pure sea water – which is filtered down to less than 5 microns and then carefully crafted into flakes by Duxbury Saltworks’ Master Salt Harvesters. This special process yields light, fluffy flakes that pinch easily and melt on your tongue. This sea salt is free of additives and full of flavor, offering a bright, fresh taste and a clean finish to any dish.

Duxbury Saltworks Classic Sea Salt is available in an elegant and functional box (SRP $8.99-$10.99) and in a sustainable, cork top glass jar with a wooden spoon (SRP $18.99-$23.99). In addition to all 70 Big Y stores, Duxbury Saltworks Classic Sea Salt boxes, and jars are available at Brothers Marketplace and many other specialty retailers in New England.

Duxbury Saltworks also offers a Sea Salt Sampler which includes their signature seasonal blends inspired by the aromatics of winter, spring, summer and fall, holiday gifts and a seasonal salt subscription set, all available on their website.
