Green Zebra Closes Lloyd and PSU Stores 

According to an official statement, Green Zebra Grocery has closed its Portland State University and Lloyd District locations due to Covid-19. The small business relied heavily on student and business populations and these locations have been hit the hardest, forcing the company to shutter its door. 

“It is with a heavy heart we are announcing the closure of our PSU and Lloyd Stores along with our Store Support office,” Founder Lisa Sedlar said. “As a result, we will be significantly downsizing our workforce and laying off approximately 60 team members. The decision to close these two stores was extremely difficult to make. We have been doing everything we can to keep our team fully employed and with healthcare benefits. Saying goodbye to our valued team members who have been working so hard as essential service providers is something I had hoped we could avoid.”
