GreenWise Markets announces sixth location

On Nov. 19, 2018 Publix’s new-format GreenWise Market announced its sixth location in Fort Lauderdale. Located on the southwest corner of Southeast Third Avenue and Southeast Second Street, this will be the grocery retailer’s second GreenWise store in the Fort Lauderdale.

“South Florida is such a large, diverse area, and we believe our customers in the Fort Lauderdale community will appreciate the environment and curated products at GreenWise Market,” said Publix Senior Vice President of Retail Operations Kevin Murphy. “We’re excited to continue growing this new concept in our market area,” Murphy added.

GreenWise Market is a specialty, natural and organic store with products that support healthy lifestyles and indulgent, unique treats for customers. The store offers house-prepared meals and grab-and-go foods made with antibiotic-free meats, organic cheeses, vegan options and beverage bar featuring kombucha, locally-roasted coffee, wine, local beer and smoothies, along with local and unique products, body care and bulk items.

Publix opened its first GreenWise Market opened in Tallahassee, Florida, in October 2018. Other announced locations are Mount Pleasant, S.C.; Lakeland, Fla.; Boca Raton, Fla.; and Marietta, Ga. The Mount Pleasant, Lakeland and Boca Raton stores are expected to open in 2019, while no date has been announced for the new Fort Lauderdale location.
