Griffin Promoted to VP of Education and Program Management at United Fresh

On July 15, United Fresh Produce Association promoted Amanda Griffin to Vice President of Education and Program Management. Griffin joined the association in the fall of 2013 to support the organization’s meetings and member programs.

“Amanda has proved herself a dedicated leader, creative advocate for enhancing our programs and committed organizer who sweats the small details while understanding the big picture,” said Tom Stenzel, President and CEO of United Fresh. “All of those positive attributes combine to position Amanda well for taking on even greater leadership of our programs throughout the year.”

Griffin will manage United Fresh’s Produce Industry Leadership Program, which is currently celebrating its 25thanniversary, and has graduated hundreds of fellows who have continued their successful careers in the produce industry. Today’s graduates are executives of major produce businesses, leaders of prominent organizations and some of the most well-known people in the industry.

Alongside these programs, Griffin serves as the staff liaison to the Produce Leadership Alumni Organization, a program offering graduated opportunities to continue their leadership journeys and give back to the produce community.

Kriste Reid, evp of MIXTEC Group and Chairperson of United Fresh’s Produce Leadership Alumni Organization praises Griffin, “I have been overwhelmed by Amanda’s tireless efforts on behalf of the Produce Industry Leadership Program and the industry at large. She is a shining example of the leadership our industry needs.”
