H-E-B Proudly Hiring Those Who Have Served

H-E-B is committed to hiring the nation’s heroes. The company announced earlier this month it has hired more than 15,000 men and women in the US Armed Forces, which includes more than 10,000 veterans and active duty service members and nearly 5,000 spouses.

“Active duty members, veterans and their families help make this a special place to work,” said Winell Herron, H-E-B Group VP of Public Affairs, Diversity and Environmental Affairs. “We’re honored to call them partners and we thank them for carrying the torch of liberty in service to the nation.”

H-E-B is regularly ranked as a top workplace for military veterans. In a 2019 ranking by popular job-listing site Indeed, the company was ranked #4 and was the only retailer listed among the top 10 companies.

H-E-B recruiters regularly hold job fairs on military bases to provide company information and employment opportunities to service members. For employment opportunities, visit H-E-B Careers.

As highly-regarded members of the H-E-B family, Veterans are regularly honored for their courage and sacrifice throughout the year. Caring for military service members and their families is a vital way the company supports the communities it serves. In 2013, the retailer launched H-E-B Operation Appreciation, a year-round initiative to honor and provide employment opportunities to military service members and their families.
