Natural Grocers to close Tulsa Central store

In a statement issued on Sept. 10, 2018 Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage announced that it planned to close its Tulsa-Central store in Tulsa, OK, by Nov. 9. The company said the decision was based on the store’s financial performance and its ongoing efforts to enhance operating efficiencies across its store base.

Closing the Tulsa-Central store marks Natural Grocers’ first store closure since the Company was founded in 1955. The company said it had no plans to close any additional stores. Natural Grocers’ other store in Tulsa will remain open.

Natural Grocers will work to transfer some crew members to Natural Grocers’ additional stores in Oklahoma and will offer other crew members a severance arrangement, with health benefits covered through the end of 2018.
