New Scoop Soldiers Franchise Opens in Florida

Scoop Soldiers, the pet waste removal franchise that aims to help pet owners and their four-legged friends by taking on the dirty work of pet ownership, opened in Tampa this year. Recognized as 1 of the Top 150 New & Emerging franchises by Entrepreneur Magazine, the 40-plus unit and counting franchise opened in Tampa on January 16, 2023. The opening came as Scoop Soldiers continues to grow around the United States as the global market for pet-related services is expected to reach $350 billion by 2027.

With the opening of Scoop Soldiers, pet parents in Tampa have gotten a much-needed break from the dirty work of cleaning up after their pets. Pet waste removal services are available at residential and pet-friendly commercial clients such as apartment complexes, pet care centers, hotels and more. Clients can opt for service packages that range from three visits per week to a one-time cleanup for a special event.

The new business is owned and operated by Ron Battaglia & John Amourafi, who are excited to continue to introduce Scoop Soldiers to the local community. Armoufi and Battaglia have both owned and operated several successful businesses in the past. They eventually became contracting partners, and  now they are business partners. In 2019, Armoufi and Battaglia opened four territories of the pet waste removal franchise Scoop Soldiers in the Dallas area.

After Battaglia moved to Florida, they saw an opportunity to expand with the brand into the Tampa market. The business partners opened their first four territories in Florida on January 16 and potentially could open more territories with Scoop Soldiers in the future.

“We’re excited to officially open for business in Tampa,” said EJ McCoy, Co-Founder of Scoop Soldiers. “With the demand for pet-related services at an all-time high, the time has never been better to join the Scoop Soldiers system. We’re looking forward to continuing to support Battaglia and Amourafi as they grow their business.”

Battaglia and Amourafi will help Scoop Soldiers continue its growth throughout the US, as the brand looks to attract new franchisees in target markets such as Seattle, Washington D.C., North Carolina and Salt Lake City, UT.

“The demand for services in pet waste removal has significantly increased — people want their time back,” said McCoy. “People are putting a value on time like I’ve never seen before, and the Scoop Soldiers team is ready to reach even more customers so they can spend time with their family and friends.”

Scoop Soldiers was established in 2010 to give pet parents a break from the dirty work of cleaning up after their pets. Clients can opt for service packages that range from three visits per week to a one-time cleanup for a special event. Scoop Soldiers helps to eliminate odor, germs and unsightly appearances from private and commercial properties.
