Price Rite introduces deep discount pilot program

On Oct. 1, 2018, Wakefern Food Corp-owned Price Rite Marketplace announced it was introducing a pilot program at three stores — Bethlehem, Allentown and Secane that would focus on deep discounts, fresh produce and an improved customer experience. The pilot is expected to start with a celebration on Oct. 5, 2018.

“For more than 20 years, Price Rite has been proud to offer incredible value and fresh products to our shoppers. Now we are moving forward by cutting prices further on hundreds of items while highlighting our fresh offerings and making it even easier to spot extraordinary deals in our redesigned and reimagined Price Rite Marketplace stores,” Jim Dorey, president of Price Rite Marketplace told the media.

The redesigned stores will focus on quality products and discounts, featuring a ‘Drop Zone’ which will have deals and products priced at $3 or less. The stores will also call attention to new decor, market-style produce departments with organic and gluten-free offerings lit by LED lighting, brighter colors and better signage.
