Publix announces three new GreenWise Market locations

On Feb. 21, 2019 Publix announced it had identified three new cities for its new-format GreenWise Market locations. The locations for the stores will be Odessa, Florida; Nocatee (Ponte Vedra Beach), Florida; and Lexington, South Carolina.

“We’re creating a community gathering place where high-quality natural and organic products are the center of what we offer,” said Publix President Kevin Murphy. “We’re helping our customers support their healthy lifestyle with convenient in-house prepared meals and grab-and-go options made from organic and antibiotic-free ingredients,” Murphy said.

The specialty, natural and organic store opened its first store in Tallahassee, Florida, in October 2018. Since then, it has announced locations in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; Lakeland, Florida; Boca Raton, Florida; Marietta, Georgia; Mountain Brook, Alabama; and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The Mount Pleasant and Mountain Brook stores are expected to open this summer, while the Lakeland and Boca Raton stores are expected to open later in 2019.

The stores feature a beverage bar featuring kombucha, locally-roasted coffee, wine, local beer and smoothies, as well as gourmet treats, body care and bulk items.
