ShopRite Opens at The Boulevard Shopping Center in Staten Island, NY

ShopRite announced the grand opening of its newest, full service supermarket at 2656 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the store.

The 70,000-square-foot supermarket includes several unique amenities and will serve as an anchor tenant at The Boulevard, a new shopping center located in the New Dorp section of Staten Island.

Operated by Mannix Family Supermarkets, Inc., the new ShopRite elevates the supermarket shopping experience by providing services such as an in-store registered dietitian, beauty advisor, online shopping (ShopRite from Home) and additional unique offerings and restaurant quality options for customers.

Special in-store offerings and well-known local vendors include:

• Valducci’s– Famous local pizza and fine selection of Italian appetizers and entrees
• Loon Chuan – Great tasting local Asian cuisine and fantastic fresh, store made daily Sushi
• Saladworks– Large variety of fresh tossed and made-to-order choice salads
• Juice Press– A new nutrition and wellness offering with made-to-order smoothies, bowls, soups, salads, tapas, entrees, cold-pressed juices and juice shots
• Dunkin’ Donuts– Market leader in sales of hot, iced, decaffeinated and flavored coffees
• Richmond County Savings Bank– A local leader in the banking industry whose parent company, NYCB, serves customers throughout metro New York, New Jersey, Florida, Ohio and Arizona

The new ShopRite will stock more than 40,000 items and offer nearly 3,000 sale items each week while also offering more than 2,000 gluten-free and organic products, all at ShopRite’s everyday low prices. Store departments include a Fresh Bake Shop featuring custom specialty cakes and made from scratch sweets and breads; Floral Shop (“Bloom”) with bouquets arranged daily; Meat Department staffed by experienced butchers offering restaurant quality cuts of meat at supermarket prices; Seafood Department (“Fresh Waters”) and Produce Department (“Produce Patch”) that receives fresh, daily deliveries. Shoppers in the Produce Department will find a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables with a special emphasis on organic and locally grown produce.

ShopRite stores on Staten Island, including the newest location, offer a unique, in-store Registered Dietitian program providing free consultations to customers. Customers can schedule convenient individual appointments with dietitians to take advantage of the popular health and wellness offering. The store beauty advisor will also offer free consultations to customers seeking advice on skincare and beauty products.

ShopRite from Home (SRFH) is ShopRite’s online shopping service that provides trained shoppers to personally shop a customer’s online order, with all products selected at the new Hylan Boulevard store location. The store will also waive the shopping fee for online store pickup orders more than $100 and deliver orders to a customer’s doorstep for a fee of $9.99.

The new store will carry all leading national brands and stock ShopRite’s new popular premium store brands, Bowl & Basket and Paperbird. Bowl & Basket foods pair thoughtfully selected ingredients at a budget friendly price. Paperbird offers a new line of effective and beautifully designed household products that look as good as they clean. The new flagship store brands combine the best of ShopRite value and innovation.

The ShopRite of Hylan Plaza will employ approximately 500 associates and hiring continues to take place at the store. The convenient shopping format also incorporates the latest energy-saving and sustainable technologies in refrigeration and lighting, including LED lighting and environmentally friendly refrigerant systems.
