Sprouts to Open in New Tampa August 12, Announces Two Additional Local Stores

Sprouts Farmers Market is continuing its growth in Tampa with two new locations opening this year and a new site announced for 2021 to expand local access to healthy groceries.

Sprouts will open a nearly 30,000 square-foot store in New Tampa, Fla. at 8620 Hunters Village Road on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7 a.m. To celebrate the location, which will be open daily from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m., every shopper on opening day will receive a free reusable shopping bag with purchase. Local customers can also enter to win a $500 Sprouts gift card by visiting sprouts.com/newtampa.

The healthy grocer will also soon finish construction on a new, 30,000 square-foot store in Westchase at 10619 Sheldon Road which will open on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The new location is bringing approximately 110 full- and part-time career opportunities to the area. Sprouts’ “Healthy Living for Less” approach to grocery shopping means potential team members should share a passion for healthy eating and the fresh, natural and organic products offered throughout the store. Potential team members are encouraged to apply online at sprouts.com/careers. Employment opportunities include department managers and clerks, cashiers, courtesy clerks, receivers and more.

In 2021, Sprouts will also open in the highly anticipated Tampa Heights development. Store hiring and grand opening details will be announced at a later date. Sprouts first entered the Florida market with a store in Carrollwood in 2017 and currently operates 19 stores in the state.
