SweetLeaf Introduces Tools to Help Cut Sugar Out of Favorite Recipes

SweetLeaf introduces some new tools providing an easy way to reduce or eliminate sugars in many favorite recipes. Traditional family recipes may use considerable amounts of sugar, and many say they simply don’t know how to convert sugar to stevia, but now that’s extremely quick and easy with SweetLeaf’s Stevia Conversion Chart and Conversion Calculator.

An online recipe for Banana Meringue Pudding showed the ingredients include ½ cup of sugar for the meringue and ⅔ cups of sugar for the pudding. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), that would equal more than 900 sugar calories or 112 sugar calories per serving. Substituting SweetLeaf for sugar brings that number down to zero – zero added sugars and zero calories from sugar!

While 112 calories may not sound like a lot, consider that the AHA recommends a daily added sugar limit of no more than nine teaspoons/150 calories for men, six teaspoons/100 calories for women and children (ages 2-19). Children under the age of 2 should not consume sugars at all.

The Stevia Conversion Chart shows the correct amount of SweetLeaf to use for any amount of sugar and allows consumers the choice of whether they want to use SweetLeaf packets or powderSweetLeaf Sweet DropsWater Drops or SweetLeaf Organic Stevia Leaf Extract.

Those who don’t want to manually convert amounts can use the interactive, online Conversion Calculator. Simply enter the amount of sugar in your recipe and the calculator instantly converts to every SweetLeaf product including Better than Sugar and Organic Monk Fruit Powder and Organic Monk Fruit Liquid.

The AHA has been clear on sugar’s relationship to cardiovascular disease and that includes a higher lifetime risk for children. The simple way to reduce dietary sugar is by replacing sugar with SweetLeaf sweeteners and, happily, that can be done with SweetLeaf’s conversion tools.

SweetLeaf’s website has a store finder, which lists retailers selling SweetLeaf. Additionally, SweetLeaf makes it easy to shop online from the company’s website, SweetLeaf.com. SweetLeaf is also available in health food stores, natural grocery, supermarkets and various online retailers at Sweet Leaf.
