Upton’s Naturals New Plant-Based Seafood

Independently owned Upton’s Naturals, which has introduced two whole-food seafood substitutes to market, including Banana Blossom and Shredded Jackfruit, has introduced its plant-based seafood. With a neutral flavor and a texture that’s soft with just a bit of bite, the Banana Blossom is delicious battered, fried and cooked into a cod-and-haddock free version of the classic British recipe, fish & chips. In addition, their certified organic Shredded Jackfruit is lightly seasoned and serves as the perfect base for a tuna-free salad sandwich – no food processor or chickpeas needed. Available for retail and foodservice customers, both shelf-stable products literally grow on trees, are 100 percent vegan, Kosher, low in fat and calories and completely free of sugar, gluten, soy, oil, GMO’s and artificial flavors.
