Vumami Foods Secures National Retailer Accounts and Announces Entry into US Market

Umami Bomb Shiitake Chili Oil is celebrating some major business milestones this fall: new relationships with Sobeys and Whole Foods Market mean that Umami Bomb is at Thrifty Foods, Safeway and Whole Foods locations throughout BC. In addition, Umami Bomb launched direct-to-consumer sales in the US and has just started onboarding US retail locations. The vegan shiitake mushroom-based chili oil, produced by Vumami Foods on Vancouver Island, BC, adds bold, savory, spicy flavor to any dish making it instantly craveable and delicious. The combination of aromatic spices, fermented bean paste and shiitake mushrooms create a truly unique flavor experience. Each of the four flavors of Umami Bomb are clean label, keto-friendly and plant-based.

The fast-growing company, Vumami Foods, was only launched in June 2020 but has already become a staple in the kitchens of home cooks throughout Canada. “Partnering with these prominent brands is an exciting step for us that will bring Umami Bomb to more customers throughout BC and beyond”, said Vumami Foods co-founder Nicholas Baingo. Since launching, Umami Bomb is now available in more than 200 premium markets and grocers throughout Canada and can be purchased online from anywhere in Canada or the US at Vumami Foods.
