Walmart executive named CMO at The Fresh Market
Pamela Kohn was appointed The Fresh Market’s Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer, effective Jan. 6. In her role, Kohn is tasked with enhancing the company’s merchandise selection, customer value, brand messaging and improving consumers’ in-store experience.
Kohn has spent more than 30 years working in the grocery industry. Prior to joining The Fresh Market, Kohn spent 12 years working for Walmart and was most notably recognized for her role in leading Walmart’s Neighborhood Market program.
During her tenure, Kohn was involved in supply chain, merchandising, store operations, real estate, sourcing and merchandising operations. Kohn led the merchandising program at The Stop & Shop Supermarket, while it was a division of Ahold USA, and spent part of her retail career as CMO for Food Lion.
