WinCo Foods enters Montana

On Feb. 15, 2019, WinCo Foods announced that it was ready to begin recruiting employees for two new stores located in Helena and Billings in Montana. The company announced that the stores are scheduled to open on March 3.  

The Boise-based grocery retailer currently operates 123 employee-owned stores across nine states in the US. The company has been expanding its footprint across the US steadily with recent advancements into California and Texas. Montana will be the 10th state the company expands into. Aside from the two stores in Helena and Billings, Grocery Divereported a WinCo spokesperson revealed the grocery retailer had received a green-light for a store in Bozeman after two years of negotiations with city officials.
