Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation Accepting Applications for 2020 Neighborhood Grants Program
The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is now accepting applications for its annual Neighborhood Grants program from nonprofit organizations working at the community level to provide nutrition education and food access programs to kids.
Nonprofits that provide resources such as community gardens and youth cooking classes in the states where Sprouts Farmers Market stores operate are invited to apply online for a 2020 Neighborhood Grant, ranging in size from $1,000 to $10,000, through July 20. This year, the Foundation expects to award $600,000 in Neighborhood Grants across 23 states. More details can be found by visiting sprouts.com/foundation.
“Nonprofit organizations play a critical role in providing children and families with the education, resources and encouragement to learn how to life healthier lives,” said Lyndsey Waugh, executive director of the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation. “Through our Neighborhood Grants program, we are able to partner in this meaningful work and serve our communities.”
Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than $10 million to nonprofit partners across 22 states. Together, these organizations have impacted thousands of young lives, teaching kids the importance of eating well and providing opportunities to access fresh, healthy food, close to home.
